He has worked for nearly 10 years implementing BI solutions and data-driven technology across a number of major retailers in the UK and US and has a Data Science Post-Grad Certificate from Harvard University. Outside of work, Fahad helps a non-profit in Chicago with tech-powered operational efficiencies.

Your role, and what team are you in?

Data Acquisition Architect – Insights Team.

Getting all clients’ data from all their systems into the app quickly and accurately.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

The people I work with day in day out.

Where were you before you joined Quorso, and what did you do there?

I was a technical  BI consultant in the U.S. for 7 years prior to joining Quorso. Most recently with Slalom Consulting.

What are your top three career highlights so far?

1 – Quorso Series A funding round

2 – 2019 Cara Summer Social

3 – Presenting a peer-reviewed paper at West Point with my undergrad prof/mentor Randy Connolly

What do you geek out on – at Quorso, and in non-work life?

New trends around data & analytics. Bitcoin. Nutrition. Mental & physical health. Sports.

Where would you like Quorso to be in five years?

Billion-dollar(s) market cap.

If you didn’t do the job you do now, what would be your second choice?

Psychologist.

If you could retire tomorrow, how would you spend your life?

Living in the mountains (which I also do now). I’m not living for a future state. I’m just living.

How did you discover Quorso, and what made you want to work there?

Through an old friend from Graduate school. I believed in Dan and Julian’s vision right away. Quorso felt categorically ahead of everything else I’ve seen in the D&A space up to this point in my career.

What’s been your pandemic/lockdown/work from home guilty pleasure?

My Nintendo Switch.

What’s your secret for getting great work done?

Excercise. It completely clears my brain and I’m able to get through any kind of work with ease if I’ve had a really great exercise session that day or the previous day.

How do you relax when life gets really hectic?

Excercise, hiking, and indulging in really delicious food.

Anyone famous who really inspires you?

David Goggins, Tom Brady, Michael Jordan, Chamath Palihapitiya, Naval Ravikant, Kobe Bryant. I probably listen to quotes from these guys every day.

Predict a future use case for Quorso that we’re not working on yet.

Sports teams using Quorso to identify underperforming players based on comparing similar players on similar types of teams within a particular sport and then creating plans for players to improve based on peer training habits, etc.

What’s the best team in the world?

If you could go back to yourself when you were starting out your career, what one piece of advice would you give to yourself?

Ask questions. Build connections. Don’t be afraid to do things no one else is doing.
